Exam re-sits
STRICT deadlines and conditions apply to the entry of re-sits and all students should read the terms below before submitting an application. All re-sit information is publicised around school, on the Exams Office notice board and on the School website.
NOVEMBER GCSE ENGLISH / MATHS RE-SITS ONLY
GCSE English and Maths are available to re-sit in the November exam series.
NOVEMBER - A re-sit application form can be downloaded HERE when available
JANUARY / FEBRUARY BTEC RE-SITS ONLY
Some BTEC units will be available to re-sit in January/February.

SUMMER AS / A LEVEL / BTEC LEVEL 3 / OTHER LEVEL 3 RE-SITS
Students may have the opportunity to re-sit AS / A Levels / Level 3 BTEC units.
AS / A Level re-sits are only available in the Summer exam season.
BTEC unit re-sits are available in January (not all subjects) and the Summer exam seasons
Students MUST sit all AS/A Level exam units required for an overall subject grade, in the season they wish to certificate. Units cannot be taken in isolation.

SUMMER GCSE / BTEC LEVEL 1 & 2 / OTHER LEVEL 1 & 2 RE-SITS
Students may have the opportunity to re-sit GCSE / Level 1/2 BTEC units.
Students MUST sit all GCSE exam units required for an overall subject grade in the season they wish to certificate. Most controlled assessment marks can be carried forward.
English Language and Maths will be available to re-sit in November & the Summer exam season.
All other GCSE’s re-sits if available, will be in the Summer exam season.

Payments & Deadlines
Payment should be made online via ParentPay, by selecting the exam re-sit option and entering the correct payment (you will need to amend the default amount of £1)
All payments must be accompanied by a completed re-sit form.
Details of fees are shown on the re-sit application form.
Completed re-sit application forms should be left at the main office or Exams Office immediately after payment is made, or scanned and emailed to examsoffice@wyedeanschool.com. The application will not be processed without a completed form.

PLEASE DO NOT MAKE ANY PAYMENT OUTSIDE OF THESE DATES. YOUR PAYMENT WILL NOT BE REGISTERED AGAINST AN EXAM RE-SIT AND NO EXAM ENTRY WILL BE MADE.
BY MAKING ANY RESIT PAYMENT APPLICATION, ALL APPLICANTS AGREE TO THE TERMS SHOWN HERE.

All students must consult with the relevant subject teacher before completing a re-sit form. A teacher's signature must be obtained to allow the re-sit application to proceed.

Students wishing to re-sit a coursework element should ascertain from their teacher if a re-sit is possible. It will be the students responsibility to ensure arrange marking with the relevant teacher.

Entry (including any late entry) is at the School and Exam Board's discretion.

Students are responsible for the accuracy and timeliness of all entries. Financial penalties will be applied by the Exam Boards for any incorrect or late entries and these costs will have to be met by the student.

Payment must be made in full at the time of application. A completed application form must be submitted at the main School office or Exams Office.
If an application deadline is missed, students should contact the Exams office for confirmation of whether entry is still available and for revised costings.

Students can withdraw from re-sits, but a refund may not always be possible, dependent on Exam Board condition
