Welcome to Wyedean SIXTH FORM

Our Mission: The SIXTH FORM Centre at Wyedean School is highly valued by the local community. It reflects Wyedean's belief in the continuity of 11- 18 education. At Wyedean we are committed to developing the full potential of all students, and believe that being part of a school enables students to take on greater responsibility. The decision to continue with your education post 16 is an important one, and at Wyedean SIXTH FORM, we aim to offer a pathway for everyone. Choosing the right course can be difficult and we are here to help and guide you in your choices. Wide Choice on Offer

How to Apply: Leaving secondary school for a SIXTH FORM or college can be a daunting prospect for anyone, which is why we aid prospective students in the best way possible. Look in to all areas available to you for post-16 study and education. Be fully informed before you make a decision. Match the course/subjects to your interests, needs and future plans, then visit our open days/evenings and chat to students and teachers alike for their opinions and advice. A guided tour of the SIXTH FORM centre will help make the correct decision. Attend taster days (external applicants) and taster lessons (internal applicants) to experience life within the SIXTH FORM centre.

YouCan eZINE
The latest version of YouCan magazine is now landing on the doorsteps of your students who signed up to the UCAS Card scheme.

In the past we have sent 10 copies of the magazine to each school or college, however, this has now been replaced with this e-zine version. Please feel free to forward this e-zine to any interested parties or even put the link onto your intranet system for all your students to read.

Traditionally, this time of year is one of the busiest periods for UCAS, as right now many students are completing their online application forms and sending them to us.

YouCan, topical as ever, has important guidance on finance, the A-Z of courses - which has reached the final stages, covering subjects from Q-Z - and news about the development of the yougofurther website which is now open to Year 12, S5 and equivalent students.

These articles should ensure the students time at university or college is both exciting and successful.
