Your principal responsibilities will be to ensure that our curriculum anticipates the future needs of our students, and maximises their opportunities for personalised progression. You will also ensure that our assessment practices and data analysis have a genuine impact on student learning. You will be responsible for helping to shape and articulate the collaborative vision of Wyedean School as we continue to move from good to outstanding. We are looking for a teacher of ICT to join our successful and innovative ICT Department. Wyedean is a specialist Maths and Computing School, and our ICT Department was judged to be “outstanding” in an Ofsted subject inspection in December 2008. ICT is taught to all students at Key Stages 3 and 4, and is a very popular choice at ‘A’ level, with over 80 Year 12 students opting to study it next September. An ability to teach ICT at all key stages will be an advantage for this post.

Wyedean School is a popular, oversubscribed comprehensive school with over 1200 students, including 360 in the Sixth Form. We require an Assistant Examination Officer to ensure that internal and external exams run efficiently. We are looking for someone who is methodical and with good attention to detail, who will assist with the drawing up of exam timetables and with the administration of exam entries.
We require someone who is able to work flexibly during the school’s busy examination periods. Due to fluctuations in the workload this contract is offered on an annualised hours basis to allow flexible work patterns. Peak times have been identified as Nov/Jan/March/May – June. The majority of the hours will be worked during term time but with some holiday work leading up to the main exam period and when results are issued.

Duties include serving food, clearing up, washing up and
keeping kitchen clean and tidy (Uniform provided).
