New Principal - Mrs Gwennan Jeremiah
Wyedean School is pleased to announce the appointment of Mrs Gwennan Jeremiah as the School’s new Principal. This will be effective from 1st May 2020.
The School’s Board of Governors stated –
"We are delighted to secure Mrs Jeremiah’s services as substantive Principal. Over the last year, Gwennan has done an excellent job as Interim Principal, more recently in very challenging circumstances. She is a passionate educator, with an eye for a fantastic curriculum and will ensure Wyedean continues to be an excellent local choice for secondary education. Gwennan will enjoy the full support of all staff and parents and will lead Wyedean through the current national situation with confidence and skill. We will continue to provide the best education we can to our students and strong and proven leadership is key to this."
Mrs Jeremiah is the first female Principal in Wyedean’s 47-year history and commented:
"I am honoured and delighted to be appointed as the Principal of Wyedean School and Sixth Form Centre. To lead a high-performing school, which prioritises excellent teaching and learning, extra-curricular opportunities and well-being is a privilege.
