Tour of Britain cycle race 09.09.17
Tour of Britain cycle race will be coming through The Cotswolds and will be finishing in Cheltenham next Saturday 9th September.
This is a really exciting opportunity for the area and there are lots of events taking place in each of the major towns along the route. The race will be coming through the following towns:
Bourton on the Water, Stow on the Wold, Moreton in Marsh, Winchcombe and finishes in Cheltenham where there will be a Festival of Cycling taking place.
Each town along the route are hosting local events eg: Winchcombe are hosting a fan zone event which looks a lot of fun. The event will be televised in 160 countries across the globe and so is an exciting opportunity for people to line the streets to show support for the cyclists and the event.
Events like these can really inspire young people to take up a sport, and with cycling on the up in the UK, perhaps this event will do so for some of our young people in Gloucestershire.

Charity Fun Day for Bone and Prostate Cancer
Amyleigh Brice and her sister have worked very hard and had very many let downs of venues, but today it has been confirmed that they have a venue and the charity fun day for bone and prostate cancer will be held on Saturday 2nd September at Newnham playing fields. We as a family would like to invite anyone who wishes to to come along and see what a student and her sister can achieve for such an amazing cause.
